RELIEF:
This will bring relief because we plan to print millions of copies of at least 800 different titles by 1940-1942. We plan on taking immediate action in order to help the unemployment rate. By taking this immediate action, we will start bring back old jobs and an interest in books and learning once again. By doing this the economy should begin to build its way up due to the availability of books, guides, and other varying genres, with th help of having the money -which this program helps provide as well- to possibly buy these types of books once again.
RECOVERY:
By hiring thousands of individuals, we will be addressing the "recovery" aspect of President Roosevelt's New Deal Programs. Hiring these unemployed workers will give many families the chances to recover from the Depression and move on with their lives. As said previously we plan to pay our workers at least $20 a week. This should be enough to get people back into the rhythm of everyday life. For example, paying rent or buying groceries.
REFORM:
The Federal Writer's Project will not directly correlate with the "reform" aspect. As of right now, it is not perceived to be a permanent New Deal. As the economy starts to rise once again it is likely that teachers, historians, writers, and ect. will begin to retake their old positions back. This New Deal program is only a temporary set of jobs until that day comes. It will provide people with jobs and what they will need to survive. Once the economy starts to rise there will be no need for a program with over 6,000 employees.
